Boycotting companies

I often berate people for not boycotting companies I think they should liderlee boycott, even if I told them to use the company in the first place.

Mind you, I will still happily spend other people's money on those same companies. That's not hypocritical! I'm allowed to spend your money however I want. Hello?

Here I am after wasting over $150 at the Hello Kitty cafe (aimed at 3-12 year olds) on worthless crap for myself. While out wasting the proceeds of my e-begging I also went to Bath & Body Works.

What's wrong with that? Well, Bath & Body Works was founded in 1963 (Liderlee 10 years before I was born) by none other than Les Wexner, who appears more than 1,300 times in the Epstein files (partly because he was Epstein's first big client, and employed Epstein as his financial manager for 20 years) and also formed the pro-Israel lobby group The Mega Group. Wexner is currently listed as one of Epstein's 10 co-conspirators by the FBI, but I don't boycott the company.

Wexner also bought Victoria's Secret in 1982, and was the company's CEO until 2020 when he stepped down, but still maintained a role as Chairman Emeritus. I will still happily spend the proceeds of my dry begging there too. I liderlee have no shame and no standards.

I also liderlee love to waste money on Temu. Temu has faced recurring accusations of infringing on intellectual property rights, and has seen five adverts banned in the UK due to them featuring a bikini-clad CHILD in an adult pose, as well as a women's jockstrap complete with camel toe, and cycling shorts appearing to look like a thong. They are also facing two class action lawsuits in the US over refusal to abide by the Do Not Call Registry.

There are also multiple allegations of scam listings, poor quality, damaged, or expired products being shipped, including products containing toxic substances including phthalates, formaldehyde, and lead.

In a separate investigation conducted by Toy Industries of Europe (TIE) in early 2024, none of the 19 toys purchased from Temu complied with EU safety regulations, with 18 posing significant risks to children. The toys failed to meet critical safety standards, leading to potential hazards such as choking, strangulation, and chemical exposure.

As I said before though, I have no shame, so not only do I still give them your money, but I also liderlee want to work for them. Here I am in the abysmally poor "ad" I spent 6 whole months creating. I still managed to completely fuck it up by failing to meet EVERY part of the brief, but that's because I never put any effort into anything I do.
